Operations Food Supervisors, (Evening Shift) – Le Mars, Iowa
Charles F Day and Associates is now recruiting Operations Food Supervisors for our Midwest client. Candidates will work on the evening shift.
The Operations Food Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision of assigned teams of employees who perform specific tasks as part of operations in the freezer in a food manufacturing environment. Responsible for communicating expectations, managing accountability and delivering desired results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Duties: Assures employees complete tasks in accordance with relevant company and legislative food safety and food quality requirements.
· This position will mentor and coach "direct reports" by fostering a culture of continued learning and development.
· Support corporate strategy by developing team and individual goals, objectives, operational standards and expectations the order of Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
· Ready to champion new ideas and encourage others to try new approaches to solve day to day opportunities and key business issues.
· Execute direction based upon business priority and strategy. Enforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
· Build collaborative partnerships across departmental lines to achieve departmental and team results.
· Implement effective action plans with a sense of urgency.
Skills: Safety training, SOPs/Stand Work documents and cost structure
Supervisory Experience: 3 years minimum
Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in related field or commensurate experience and a minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a in a medical product, food or nutritional product manufacturing setting.
Previous experience in an FDA / USDA regulated industry required.
